Full Product Description
This recall involves Evenflo Majestic^TM high chairs manufactured before December 31, 2008. The recalled model numbers are:3001700, 3001713, 3001719CA, 3001733, 3001848, 3001852, 3003845.

The model number and manufacturing date can be found on a white label on the seat back. The word "Evenflo" is printed on the label and on the push button on the front of the tray.

Models showing a manufacturing date in 2009, written in red ink, are not included in this recall.

This recall is an expansion on a previous recall. The original recall is still in effect. This expanded recall adds model numbers that were not included in the original recall and includes products manufactured more recently.

Hazard Identified
The plastic caps and metal screws on both sides of the high chair can loosen and fall out, allowing the seat back to fall back or detach from the high chair unexpectedly. This poses both fall and choking hazards to children.

In Canada, Evenflo has received 37 reports of incidents involving seat backs reclining, falling back, or detaching unexpectedly, with 1 injury of a head bump.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these high chairs.

Corrective Action
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled high chairs and contact Evenflo to receive a free repair kit.

Consumers should not return the product to the place of purchase.

Approximately 29, 481 units of the recalled high chairs were sold in Canada.
