Product description
This recall involves wall mounts that are used with flat screen LCD televisions. The recalled wall mounts are INIT models NT-TVM103 and NT-TVM104. The model numbers can be found on the UL sticker on the television interface.
Hazard identified
The wall mount can crack at the tilt adjustment point when used with televisions 26 inches and larger or with televisions that include a DVD player. The television can then fall from the wall mount and pose a serious risk of injury to consumers standing nearby.
Milestone is aware of 28 incidents in which the mount has cracked and the television has fallen from its mount. No injuries have been reported.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these wall mounts.
Number sold
The number of recalled wall mounts sold is not known. The product was sold at Best Buy and Future Shop stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled wall mounts were sold between June 2007 and December 2008.
