Product description
This recall involves child carrier models Kenta (Article Number 10427) and Kenta Plus (Article Number 10428) by Vaude Sport. The carriers are available in the following colours: red/vine red colour number 259, brown/mocha colour number 697, black colour number 010. The product name is printed on the back of the carrier.

Hazard identified
Due to an incorrectly sewn strap, the lateral load positioner could tear out under a heavy load, which would lead to less effective side stabilization. In the worst-case scenario, the child can fall out of the carrier leading to severe injuries.
Neither Sport Dinaco Inc. nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of the recalled product.
Number sold
Approximately 46 of the recalled child carriers were sold at various sporting goods retailers across Canada.
In the United States, approximately 300 units of the recalled carriers were sold at outdoor camping and climbing stores nationwide.
Time period sold
In Canada, the recalled child carriers were sold from March 17, 2010 to April 14, 2012.
In the United States, the recalled child carriers were sold between January 2010 and May 2012.
