Product description

This recall involves a green giraffe print "romper" by Parade.

The sleeper is 100% cotton size, size 6-12 months and has CA number 40019.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these products do not meet the flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.

Loose-fitting children's sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child's body. For this reason, cotton is not permitted in loose-fitting sleepwear.

Neither Health Canada nor Parade has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of the affected products.

Number sold

Approximately 104 of the recalled sleepers were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled sleepers were sold from January 2012 to June 2012.

Place of origin

Manufactured in India.
