Product description

This voluntary recall involves candles which spontaneously re-ignite after being blown out. These candles are identified by the brand name Magic Relighting Candles and the item number 17178. They come in a package of 10.

Hazard identified

Candles which can spontaneously re-ignite are prohibited in Canada under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act as they re-ignite after disposal potentially causing fires.

Neither Health Canada nor Forum Novelties has received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these candles.

Number sold

Approximately 792 packages of the Magic Relighting Candles were sold in stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled Magic Relighting Candles were sold from January 2011 to January 2013.
