Product description

This recall involves Summer Breeze brand 5-drawer dressers measuring 44 inches tall by 31 inches wide.  The following products are included in the recall:

  • Summer Breeze, royal cherry #3746035;
  • Summer Breeze, blueberry #3294035;
  • Summer Breeze, chocolate #3219035; and
  • Summer Breeze, white wash #3210035.

Hazard identified

The recalled dressers can tip-over if not securely anchored to the wall, posing a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in death or serious injuries to children.

As of February 22, 2017, the company has received no incidents and no injuries in Canada and the United States.

Number sold

10,341 recalled products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The dressers were sold from February 2005 to February 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Québec.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using all affected dressers, move them to an area that children can not access and contact South Shore Furniture to obtain a free anchoring repair kit to secure the dresser to the wall.
