Product description

This recall involves the Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure pink toddler swings manufactured from November 2009 through December 2013. The swings have a pink T-shaped restraint in front with a Little Tikes logo. The swing is suspended by four yellow ropes.  The affected products can be identified by model number 615573 found on the back of the swing seat and UPC 050743615573.

The manufacturing date code is stamped on the back of the seat. The recall includes the molded INNER arrow of the date code stamp pointing to either "10", "11" or "12". In addition, the recall includes the molded INNER arrow of "09" combined with "43" or higher stamped on the OUTER ring.

No other date codes or other colours of swings are affected.

Hazard identified

The plastic seat can crack or break, posing a fall hazard.

As of March 14, 2017, the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada.  There have been 39 reports of injuries to children including abrasions, bruises, cuts and bumps to the head that occurred outside of Canada.  Two of the reported injuries included children with a broken arm.

Number sold

Approximately 10,656 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled product was sold from May 2010 through to May 2014.

Place of origin

Manufactured in the United States of America.

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact The Little Tikes Company for a credit.
