Hazard identified

The glass beer mugs can break if used for hot liquids and result in potential laceration or burn.

As of July 13, 2017, the company has received 1 report of the glass breaking in Canada, involving a burn. In the United States, the company has received no reports of broken glasses due to hot liquids, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 1525 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 332 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold in Canada from January 1, 2017 to March 15, 2017. They were sold in U.S. from May 1, 2017 to June 20, 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Poland.

What you should do

Consumers are advised not to use the glass beer mug for hot liquids or return it to the nearest HomeSense for a refund.

Consumers may contact TJX Canada at 1-800-646-9466, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST Monday to Friday.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
