Product description

This recall involves a cleaning product sold by Nettoyants Lemieux :

  • Concentrated powder for dishwashers sold in a 2 kg plastic bag with a pale blue label, "Lemieux" brand.

Hazard identified

Health Canada has determined that the recalled product does not meet the chemical hazard labelling and child-resistant packaging for consumer products as set out in the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

Improper packaging or labelling could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness, injury or death.

As of November 30, 2018, no incidents or injuries were reported to the company regarding the use of this product in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 100 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

The recalled product was sold until November 2018

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and discard them in accordance with their municipality's guidelines for the disposal of hazardous waste.
