Reason

A number of toothpaste products manufactured in China were found to contain Diethylene Glycol (DEG ). Sample of this brand tested found to contain 0.1 % DEG . Product under investigation is not approved for sale in Canada (Section 4 NHPR ). Safety and efficacy of product have not been assessed by Health Canada. Importer does not hold a Site Licence to import NHP's ( S 27 NHPR ). As a precautionary measure, firm was requested to stop-sale and recall.
