Product description

This recall involves a plastic toy gun/assault rifle with sound. The product has an army green/camouflage motif with an orange plastic tip at the end. The gun makes a clicking sound when the trigger is pulled.

The product is identified by the name "Action Team", number GT-32, item TY552, UPC number 064049005525 and is 28 centimetres long.

Hazard identified

Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the paint contains lead in excess of the allowable limit. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Health Canada has not received any reports of illness or incidents related to the use of these toy guns.

Number sold

Approximatively 7,000 of the recalled toy guns/assault rifles were sold in Canada.

These products were sold at Everything for a Dollar Stores and other discount stores across Canada.

The time period during which the recalled products were sold is not known.
