Product description
This recall involves the Jumbo Sized Snowman Snow Globe with a yellow nose and black dots on its white face. The snowman is wearing a grey scarf with wide green stripes and a pair of red mittens and a red hat. The snowman is identified by stock number 1XAG5093 and UPC number 795902066666.
Hazard identified
When sunlight is refracted through the large surface area of the snow globe, nearby combustible materials could ignite. This product, when left unattended, poses a potential fire hazard to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these snow globes.
Number sold
Approximately 381 units of the recalled snow globes were sold at Hallmark Gold Crown stores.
Time period sold
The recalled snow globes were sold from September 2008 to December 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately remove the Jumbo Snowman Snow Globes from direct sunlight.
Consumers are instructed to bring the Jumbo Snowman Snow Globes back to any Hallmark Gold Crown stores for a full refund.
Consumers who won one as part of the Register-to-Win program will receive a Christmas gift pack with a greater retail value shipped to their home upon return of the Jumbo Snow Globe.
