Product description

This recall involves the XBi Alu binding plates component on the following eleven models of Nordica skis.

  • SpeedMachine Mach2
  • Hot Rod Hellcat
  • Olympia Firefox
  • Dobermann Pro SL

2008

  • Dobermann Pro SL
  • Dobermann Pro GS

Hazard identified

The binding plates on the affected skis can crack or break, causing the skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries.

Neither Health Canada nor Nordica have received any reports of injuries related to the use of these skis.

Number sold

Approximately 1,298 units of the recalled products were sold at various stores in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from February 2006 to February 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Italy.
