Product description
This recall involves the Magenta Plush Dog by Ty Inc. The toy is a plush pink dog with blue eyes and purple glasses. It is approximately 14 cm high. The plush toy can be identified by SKU #40346 or by UPC 008421403462.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the hard plastic eyes can easily detach from the toy; these small parts pose a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of the Magenta Plush Dog.
Number sold
Approximately 846 of the Magenta Plush Dog toys were sold at variety and toy stores across Canada in 2008.
Time period sold
The recalled toys were sold from February 2006 to January 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
