Product description
This recall involves various toy beach chairs intended as accessories for plush toys sold at Build-A-Bear Workshop. The toy beach chairs feature a folding wooden frame and a solid coloured or striped canvas seating area. Some styles include an attached pillow.
The toy beach chairs can be identified by the following colours and style numbers:

Hazard identified
A child's fingers or skin can get caught between the folding legs of the chair, causing pinch and laceration hazards.
Build-A-Bear Workshop has received eight reports of incidents where the folding action of the toy beach chair may have caused a finger to be pinched, bruised or cut.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these toy beach chairs.
In cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Health Canada, Build-A-Bear Workshop is voluntarily recalling all colours of the toy beach chair.

Number sold
Approximately 9,700 units were sold in Canada, and approximately 260,000 units were sold in the United States at Build-A-Bear Workshops nationwide and online.
Time period sold
The recalled toy beach chairs were sold from March 2003 to October 2008 in Canada, and from March 2001 to October 2008 in the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
