Product description

This recall involves all athletic cups that were sold with the "Under Armour" logo. Youth, teen, and adult sizes are included. The athletic cups were sold individually and as a set with compression, slider, or jock shorts.

Shorts that were sold together with the athletic cup are not included in this recall.

Hazard identified

The cups can break if hit, posing a risk of serious injury to users.

Under Armour has received 2 reports of the cup breaking in Canada, with no reported injuries.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these athletic cups.

Number sold

Approximately 8, 300 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from January 2006 to March 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled athletic cups. If the athletic cup is being used by a minor or someone else in the household, it should be taken away from them to ensure that it cannot be used.

Under Armour is offering up to a $25 online rebate to those consumers who return the recalled athletic cup.
