Toy Land Connecting Rings

Product description

This recall involves the Connecting Rings toy set by Toy Land Company. The recalled toy is sold in a pack of 24 identically-shaped pieces of various colours. Each piece has six connecting points with finger-like shapes designed to attach the pieces together as a connecting toy, allowing multiple connection combinations and shapes.

The package has the statements: "Suitable for All Ages", "Safe for Young Children" and "Great for All Ages". The recalled toy can be identified by item number P5S1683 and UPC 061366496838.

Hazard identified

Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the plastic connecting points on the individual plastic rings can easily break, forming small parts; these small parts pose a choking hazard to young children.

Health Canada has received one report of an incident where a child was playing with the recalled toy, and the toy released small parts; the child did not sustain injuries from the incident.
