Product description
This recall involves the Serene Tea Set. The set includes a round light blue teapot with a lid and wire handle and 4 light blue tea cups without handles. The recalled tea set can be identified by UPC 773426605875.
Hazard identified
The handle on the teapot may detach from the pot during use, posing a risk of injury to consumers. Accents de Ville has received one complaint from a consumer of the handle breaking off of the teapot and causing a burn.
Health Canada has not received any reports of injuries or incidents related to the use of this tea set.
Number sold
Approximately 438 of the recalled products were sold at Chapters/Indigo stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from March 2009 to May 2009.
