Product description
This recall involves "Very Nice" cotton hooded sweatshirts (or hoodies) sold in girls' sizes SML to XL under the brand name "Roxy Girl". The recalled products have a zipper in the front and a drawstring at the waist, and are available in either grey with a blue lining or cherry with a lavender lining. The word "Roxy" is printed on the front of the grey hoodie and on the neck clothing tag for hoodies of both colours.
The style number, 487857 or B487857, is printed on the inside care label near the waist.
Hazard identified
The cotton hoodie has a waist drawstring that could pose an entrapment hazard to children.
Neither Quiksilver Inc. nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these jackets.

Number sold
Approximately 495 of the recalled products were sold by various children's department stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from May 2009 to August 2009.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and should either remove the drawstrings from the hoodies to eliminate the hazard, or return the hoodies to the place of purchase or to Quiksilver for a full refund.
