Feather Christmas Tree
Product description
This recall involves 7-foot high feather Christmas trees, distributed by Bouclair Inc. The recalled trees were sold in various colours and can be identified by the following SKU numbers: 9355726, 9355737, 9355759, 9355770, 9355965, 9356374 and 9355748.
A warning on the product packaging indicates that feather Christmas trees cannot be decorated with lights for safety reasons. In addition, the tree should be kept away from candles, fireplaces and other ignition sources.
Hazard identified
Testing done by Health Canada has revealed that the feather Christmas tree does not meet the Canadian requirements for textile flammability.
The feather Christmas tree could easily catch fire if exposed to a flame or other heat sources such as decorative lights, candles, sparks from a fireplace, portable heaters, matches or lighters and cause serious burns to consumers as well as property damage.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these Christmas trees.
Number sold
Approximately 133 units of the recalled products were sold in a select number of Bouclair stores in Quebec and Ontario.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from November 2009 to December 2009.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Christmas tree and return it to any Bouclair store for a full refund.
