This recall involves inflatable balls that were sold with select Fisher-Price products.

Only Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquariums and 1-2-3 Tetherball products manufactured before 2008 are included in this recall. The manufacturing date for the Kick & Crawl Aquarium is on the back of the fabric tag on the quilt. The manufacturing date for the 1-2-3 Tetherball™ is on the bottom of the base. If the 4th digit of the six-digit date code is a '7' or less, then the product is included in the recall.

Hazard identified

The valve on the inflatable ball can come off, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Fisher-Price and the US CPSC have received 8 reports of the valve coming off inflatable balls in Canada and 46 similar reports in the United States. The reports include 14 incidents of the valve being found in a child's mouth and 3 reports of a child choking on the valve. There have been no reported injuries.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 125,000 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

In the United States, approximately 2,800,000 of the recalled products were distributed to stores.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold between July 2001 and July 2008 in Canada and the United States. Please see the product description for the exact time period during which each product was sold.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately remove the inflatable ball from the affected product and keep it away from children. Consumers may contact Fisher-Price for a free replacement kit. Do not throw the inflatable ball away before contacting Fisher-Price.
