Product description
This recall involves 100% organic cotton Terry Beach Cover-Ups for toddlers, sized 1 to 3 years.
This recall does not include the Terry Beach Cover-Up for infants, sized 6 to 12 months.
Hazard identified
Health Canada has established that this product is a bath robe that does not meet the flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Loose-fitting children's sleepwear, including robes, can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child's body. For this reason, cotton is not permitted in loose fitting sleepwear.
Neither Green Bean Baby nor Health Canada have received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 40 were sold at specialty children's stores in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, as well as through various online retailers.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2007 to January 2010.

Manufactured in British Columbia.

What you should do
Consumers are advised not to let their children wear the recalled robe and to return it to the place where it was purchased for a refund. If the product was purchased online or at a trade show, consumers should contact Green Bean Baby directly to arrange for a refund.
