Product description
This recall involves Copco and Wild Leaf Tea Co. Bristol-model tea kettles. The kettles have an enamel finish in a variety of colours.
The recalled kettles can be identified by the following stock numbers, which are printed on the bottom of the boxes: 2501-1203, 2501-1310, 2504-0015, 2504-0016, and 2504-0017.
This recall does not include any other styles or types of Copco and Wild Leaf Tea Co. tea kettles.
Hazard identified
The handle on the kettle may come loose, posing a potential burn hazard to consumers.
Neither Wilton Industries Canada nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians as related to the use of these kettles.
Number sold
Approximately 600 of the recalled kettles were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2006 to September 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Thailand.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled kettles and contact Wilton Industries Canada to receive a refund. Consumers are asked not to return the kettle to the store where it was purchased.
