Product description
This recall involves plastic charm bracelets sold in a clear plastic bag under the brand name "Beedazzled" by Art Craft Company Inc. The brown plastic bracelets come with charms in the shape of a basketball, soccer ball and a pink flower. The bracelets can be identified by the UPC 065203012113.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has revealed that the recalled bracelet contains lead in excess of the allowable limit. Lead is very toxic to children even at low exposure levels. Children can ingest harmful amounts of lead when they chew, suck or swallow jewellery items containing lead.
Neither Art Craft Company Inc. nor Health Canada has received reports of incidents or illnesses related to the use of these pendants.

Approximately 5,205 of the recalled charm bracelets were sold in Canada.

The recalled products were sold from September 2007 to August 2008.
