Product description
This recall involves the Kufa 3-Person Tent, sold by the Army and Navy Department Store and imported by Kufa Sports Enterprises Ltd. The tent is shaped like a dome with green walls, a grey fly that covers the roof vent, and black netting and flooring. It was sold in a white box with a gold border around the text.
The tent is made of water resistant polyester material and measures approximately 213 centimetres (84 inches) in height by 213 centimetres (84 inches) in width by 130 centimetres (51 inches).
The recalled tents can be identified by the item number CF6414-3 and UPC 882746000175.
Hazard identified
Testing revealed that the materials used in this tent do not meet the requirements for tent flammability under Canadian law. The wall-and-top material and netting of the tent could easily catch fire if exposed to a flame or other ignition source such as a campfire spark, and cause severe burns to consumers.
The tent lacks accurate warnings required for flammable products. Inaccurate warnings may result in misuse of this product and lead to serious injury or death.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this tent.

Approximately 2,263 of the recalled tents were sold at Army and Navy Department Stores only in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled tents were sold from February 2008 to June 2010.
