Product description

This recall involves the BT (Battle Tested) SA-17 Paintball Gun/Marker with BT SA-17 printed on both sides. The marker is made of aluminum and resembles a pistol. It is available in black with model number 17039. It uses a horizontally-fed magazine and requires a 12g CO2 cartridge.

Hazard identified

When users attempt to pierce the CO2 cartridge by closing the lever to the cartridge chamber, the cartridge can fly out of the marker, which can potentially injure consumers.

Neither Health Canada nor KEE Action Sports LLC has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these Paintball markers.

Number sold

Approximately 219 of the affected paintball markers were sold at various retail stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The affected paintball markers were sold from May 2010 to January 2011.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Taiwan.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected paintball markers and return the markers to KEE Action Sports LLC or to the place of purchase for a free repair or contact KEE for the repair parts and installation instructions.
