Product description
Three styles of jackets are subject to this recall:
- Men's Sherpa Lined Corduroy Jacket, style MVX2156: A corduroy men's jacket that is fully lined with Sherpa fleece. It has a five-button front closure, two side pockets and two breast pockets.
- Women's Zip Up Fleece Hoodie, style WOY2443: A zip-front women's jacket with two pockets, a hood lined with Sherpa fleece and a drawstring at the waist.
- Women's Surplus Wrap Jacket, style WOY2444: A belted women's wrap jacket with a Sherpa fleece-lined collar. It has two side pockets and wide knit cuffs at the wrist.
Each jacket is made of 100% cotton and comes in various colours. A label with the style number is located on a side seam inside the jackets.
Hazard identified
The jackets fail to meet textile flammability requirements under Canadian law.
The jackets could easily catch fire if exposed to a flame or other ignition sources such as a match or lighter; a lit cigarette, candle or stove-top element; or a spark from a fireplace and cause burns to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incident or injury related to the use of these jackets.
Number sold
Approximately 235 of the recalled jackets were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from June 2010 to February 2011.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
