Hazard identified
The recalled backpack blowers are equipped with fuel tanks that may leak gasoline, posing a fire hazard to the consumer.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
There have been no reported injuries or incidents reported in the United States.
Number sold
Approximately 80 of the recalled blowers were sold in Canada.
A total of 3552 products were distributed in Canada and the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from April 2008 to December 2010 in Canada and the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Japan.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and bring them to an authorized dealer to receive a free replacement tank. The dealer will install the replacement tank.
