Product description

This recall involves a keychain toy that plays electronic sounds and contains three keys, a mini flashlight, and a belt clip. The toy is intended for children ages 6 months and up. This recall involves only two batches with the codes: 010810 or 063010.

These codes are etched on the back of the product.

Hazard identified

The metal toy keys and the plastic key ring can break, posing a choking hazard.

The US CPSC has received 31 incidents of either key or key ring breakage.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these FunKeys toys.

Number sold

Approximately 3,600 units of the recalled FunKeys toys were sold across Canada.

Approximately 1,075,600 units of the recalled FunKeys toys were sold In the United States.

Time period sold

The recalled FunKeys toys were sold from 2006 to April 2011.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
