Product description

This recall involves the following 11 models of B.O.B.® single and double strollers. The logo is embroidered on the stroller canopy. Strollers have either a BOB®, Ironman®, or Stroller Strides® logo embroidered on the canopy(s) with backing material.

Hazard identified

In rare instances, it is possible for a child to remove the embroidery backing of the embroidered logo on the stroller canopy and put this material into their mouth, posing a potential choking hazard.

The firm has received six reports of children gaining access to, removing and inserting into their mouth, the embroidery backing of the stroller canopy's embroidered logo while seated in an infant car seat that has been attached to a B.O.B.® Infant Car Seat Adapter.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these strollers.

Number sold

Approximately 27,000 units of the affected strollers were sold at various specialty stores and online retailers across Canada.

Approximate 412,000 units of the affected strollers were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The recalled strollers were sold from November 1998 to present.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Taiwan and China.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers until they remove the embroidery backing from the canopy's embroidered logo.
