Product description

This recall involves the Bumbleride Indie (Model I-205) and Bumbleride Indie Twin (Model IT-305) strollers.

The Bumbleride Indie is a 3-wheel all terrain stroller manufactured between January 2009 and September 2011. The date of manufacture sticker can be found on the right side of the stroller.

The Bumbleride Indie Twin is a 4-wheel all terrain stroller manufactured between January 2009 and August 2011. The date of manufacture sticker can be found on the underside of the handle of the stroller.

Hazard identified

The front wheel can break, potentially causing the stroller to become unstable and flip over.

The company has received 5 reports of incidents in Canada. None of the incidents resulted in serious injury.

There have been 36 incidents in the United States of the front wheel cracking, including two reports of the stroller tipping over resulting in minor injuries.

Health Canada has not received any reports of injuries to Canadians related to the use of these strollers.

Number sold

Approximately 2700 of the recalled strollers were sold in Canada.

Approximately 28,000 of the recalled strollers were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The recalled strollers were sold from January 2009 to January 2012.
