Product description
This recall involves a Zippy Mat Drum Kit Playmat. It is an electronic drum kit floor mat, measuring 78 centimetres by 60 centimetres. It includes a snare, tom-toms, high-hat, symbols, drumsticks, and headphones. The UPC barcode is 0-97138-78569-5 with the item number TY-DRUMS.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program revealed that the Zippy Mat Drum Kit emits noise of more than 100 decibels when measured at the normal distance a child would use during play, posing an auditory hazard.
Loud toys used too often and too long may harm a child's hearing.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incident or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this toy.
