Exmark Commercial Walk-Behind Mowers

Product description

This recall involves 2013 Exmark 76-centimetre (30-inch) walk-behind mowers identified by model number ECKA30 and serial numbers ranging from 313605897 to 313660824.  The phrases “Commercial 30” and “Exmark” are printed on the front of the black and red mower. “Exmark” is also printed on the side of the mower. The model and serial numbers are located on a decal affixed to the engine base above the left rear tire.

Hazard identified

The mower’s blade can break posing a laceration hazard to the user and other nearby.

Neither Health Canada nor Exmark has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these mowers.

Number sold

Approximately 334 units of the recalled mowers were sold in Canada and approximately 6,900 in the United States at Exmark dealers nationwide.

Time period sold

The recalled mowers were sold from January 2013 through October 2013 in Canada and from November 2012 through October 2013 the United States.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Mexico.

What you should do

Consumers should stop using the mower immediately and contact an authorized Exmark service dealer for repair.

To locate an authorized Exmark service dealer, consumers may contact Exmark toll-free at 1-800-667-5296 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s website.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website.
