Product description

This recall involves the phil & teds  Travel System 26 (TS 26) adaptor which allows specific infant car seats to be connected to Phil & teds  strollers.  The adaptor is two pieces that attach to the right and left side of the stroller frame.  It is sold separately from the strollers and car seats and can be identified by the code “TS 26” on the sticker located on the side of the adaptor.

This recall involves only the Travel System 26 (TS 26) adaptor with the following UPC: 942001574004

The Travel System 26 (TS 26) is compatible with the following car seats and Phil & teds  stroller models, currently available in Canada:

Car Seats:

  • Maxi Cosi Cabriofix,
  • Maxi Cosi Mico,
  • Maxi Cosi Pebble.

Phil & teds  Strollers:

  • Classic,
  • Dot,
  • Explorer,
  • Hammerhead,
  • Navigator,
  • S3,
  • S4.

Hazard identified

When subjected to freezing temperatures the Travel System 26 can crack and cause the car seat to become unstable posing a fall hazard to infants.

Phil & teds USA has received 3 reports (1 in Canada, 2 in the USA) of the TS 26 cracking. No injuries were reported.

Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.

Number sold

Approximately, 122 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

In the United States, approximately, 265 of the recalled products were sold.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from April 2013 to April 2014 in Canada.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected adaptor and contact the phil & teds USA to arrange to receive a free replacement product.
