Product description
This recall involves the Norpro immersion heater identified by model 559 or model CH103. The heater is a device used to warm liquids and has a chrome plated steel end with a white PVC handle. The immersion heater bears a label with the UL Mark for Canada and the United States and a four number date code of 1110 to 1409 which indicates the year and month of manufacturing.
Hazard identified
When the heater is immersed in liquid the liquid may become energized, posing a shock hazard. The immersion heater does not comply with UL’s safety requirements and is not authorized to bear the UL Mark for Canada and the United States.
Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these heaters.
