Product description
This recall involves Halloween skull and pumpkin themed tiki torches consisting of a fuel canister and wick installed in a bamboo supporting stake with a removable plastic skull or pumpkin outer covering.
Hazard identified
The fuel canister supplied with these torches does not comply with the Canadian labeling and packaging requirements. The canisters intended to contain the fuel do not display the required warning information and are not supplied with the required child resistant closures.
Neither Spirit Halloween nor Health Canada has received reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.
Number sold
An unknown number of the recalled products were sold at Spirit Halloween stores and on-line across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2015 to October 2016 and were potentially also sold during previous Halloween seasons.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and ensure the supplied canisters are not stored containing fuel. The product should be kept out of the reach of children. Consumers should either dispose of the product or return it to Spirit Halloween for a refund.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
