Product description

This recall involves Shocker RSX paintball markers equipped with a blue main chamber. The Shocker RSX is an electropneumatic paintball marker which utilizes compressed air to fire .68 caliber gelatin encapsulated paintballs. The markers are approximately 21.6 centimetres (8.5 inches) tall by approximately 20.3 centimetres (8 inches) long (without the barrel). Markers included in this recall have a blue main chamber. The blue main chamber has three large rectangular cut-outs on the main body and a ring of seven small perpendicular holes in the neck of the chamber. All Shocker RSX markers are subject to this recall.

HK Army Paintball markers included in the recall were sold in the following colour combinations:

Hazard identified

The chamber part can unexpectedly eject from the rear of the marker, posing a risk of impact injury to the user.

Neither Health Canada nor Shocker Paintball has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 201 units were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected units were sold from May 13, 2015 to July 18, 2016.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled marker and properly dispose of the blue chamber, and contact Shocker Paintball for a free replacement high-flow chamber or an authorized dealer to have it installed at no charge.
