Product description

This recall involves kids' full-zip hooded jackets with drawstrings at the hood and waist. "Northern Lifestyles Canada" is displayed on the tag located at the back collar. The following style numbers are included in the recall: 2965, 3032, 3049, 3039, and 3056. The style numbers were indicated on the hang tag provided with the product at retail.

Hazard identified

Drawstrings on children's outerwear can become caught on playground equipment, fences or other objects and result in strangulation, or in the case of vehicles, in the child being dragged.

As of January 10, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 4,293 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

Products were sold from January 2012 to December 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Nepal.

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the garment to eliminate the hazard.
