Product description

This recall involves various boat care products sold under the brand name Seapower Marine. The table below includes the name and description of the recalled products.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the products do not meet labelling requirements for consumer chemical products under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

The recalled products do not have proper hazard labelling required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. Improper labelling could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness, injury or death.

As of February 6, 2018, TR Industries has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 2,800 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from January 2015 to February 2018.

Place of origin

Manufactured in the United States.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and dispose of the products according to municipal bylaws.
