Product description

This recall involves Hoppe's BoreSnake CLP Aerosol, All-In-One Cleaner, Lubricant & Protectant. The product was sold in a 170 g black aerosol can and may be identified with UPC: 0 26285 00172 3 and model number: HSO6ACN.

Hazard identified

Recent independent lab testing showed that the product is "very flammable". The manufacturing, importation, advertising or sale of a very flammable product is prohibited under the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001.

As of February 3, 2020 the company has received no reports of property damage in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 3,200 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from January 2019 to February 2020.

Place of origin

Manufactured in the USA.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return the product to their place of purchase for a refund.
