Product description

This recall involves the Kichler 52" 5-Blade Indoor Fan, Model Number 35153.  The fan is a curved blade ceiling fan with etched umber glass and an integrated LED module. It is only available in Mediterranean Walnut colour.

Product date codes are located on the top of the fan motor housing, on the inside of the ceiling canopy, and on the bottom of the original product packaging box. The product date codes are comprised of a 2-digit month and 2-digit year. Affected product includes fans manufactured from January 2016 to April 2017 (e.g., 0116, 1216, 0417).  

Hazard identified

Kichler has received reports of the fan blade iron breaking off of the ceiling fan during use. Individuals may be at risk if the blade were to come in contact with a consumer or bystander.

As of March 11, 2020, the company has received 1 report of property damage and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 3,153 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 38,866 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from January 2016 to March 2020.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ceiling fans and contact either the lighting showroom where the unit was purchased or Kichler Lighting LLC.

Consumers may contact Kichler Lighting LLC by telephone toll-free at 866-558-5706 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday in order to initiate the replacement process. For more information, consumers may also visit the company's website.
