Product description
This recall involves JAKKS Pacific Morfboard Skate & Scoot Combos which were sold in a variety of colours, including blue, yellow, red and green. The affected scooters have "Y" shaped handlebars and may be identified by the date code 0878VE01, 0328VE01 or 3628VE01, which is located on the bottom side of each skate deck.
Hazard identified
The "Y" handlebar joint on the scooter can break, posing a fall hazard.
As of November 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 18 reports of the "Y" handlebars breaking, and 1 report of minor injury.
Number sold
The company reported that 1,824 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and 162,300 units were sold in the United States.
