Product description

This recall involves LePage® Speed Set™ Epoxy, LePage® Speed Set™ Professional Epoxy and LePage® Speed Set™ Gel Epoxy. The affected products are the dual-cartridge 25 mL LePage® Speed Set™ Epoxy and LePage® Speed Set™ Gel Epoxy syringes and the 118 mL LePage® Speed Set™ Professional Epoxy Glue in red, yellow and maroon packaging. The products are two-part adhesives consisting of an epoxy resin and a hardener.

Hazard identified

The recalled products do not meet the labelling requirements and the child-resistant packaging requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

The lack of child-resistant packaging and appropriate labelling information could result in unintentional exposure to the products and lead to serious illness or injury, including death.

As of January 5th, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

The company reported that approximately 890,000 units of the products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from March 2010 to January 2021.
